For the third stop in our Fine Dining in the RGV Series in collaboration with our friends at RGVino, we are proud to share our experience at McAllen's newest restaurant, Hacienda Las Mariposas!
From gourmet food from various regions of the interior of Mexico and a great selection of wines to an absolutely beautiful location and great ambiance, Hacienda Las Mariposas is a new restaurant in the Rio Grande Valley you definitely want to add to your bucket list.
Located in McAllen, Texas, Hacienda Las Mariposas offers a delicious culinary experience featuring mouthwatering menu items with unique flavors from various regions of Mexico and their own take on local favorites.
In addition to their delicious dishes, we absolutely loved how beautiful the restaurant is featuring a spacious outdoor patio with Italian tile surrounded by gorgeous large trees and an iron fire feature with their iconic butterflies. Guests can choose to dine inside or outside on their balcony or patio. According to the owner, various details of the restaurant were inspired by his personal travels around the world.

To close the night we shared their delicious Flan and Churros con Helado for dessert. For a very unique experience, we highly recommend you try either their Cafe Español or Cafe Irlandes which are prepared are your table and include either whiskey or cognac flameado (flamed).
We enjoyed our coffee and dessert while listening to their live music performances outside on the patio. What an experience!
Overall, we really enjoyed our time at Hacienda Las Mariposas. The food, restaurant, and service were great! For recommendations on the wine we paired our meals with, visit our friends at RGVino.
